Rebecca Sebastian is a yoga teacher, yoga therapist, and the founder of Sunlight Media — an independent media company documenting the realities of work in the wellness industry.

She has spent over two decades inside the yoga profession — teaching, practicing, running a studio, and paying close attention to the systems, economics, and culture that shape what it actually means to make a living in this field. That attention became Working In Yoga, now more than 150 episodes in and one of the only podcasts treating yoga as a serious profession worthy of serious conversation.

Rebecca also publishes Inside Yoga Magazine, the first trade publication for yoga professionals, and hosts The Back Room — an asynchronous coworking community for yoga and wellness professionals who want to think alongside peers who get it.

Her work sits at the intersection of labor, culture, and the future of yoga. She's interested in the honest version of this industry — the money, the credentials, the burnout, the breakthroughs, and everything the wellness world tends to smooth over.
